Esports Startup Player Epic To Add Tech Jobs

Johnny Williams played four years of college football at the University of Kentucky and spent time with the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars and Pittsburgh Steelers - and a year ago he decided to start a career as an esports gamer.

In 2020, he started a sports agency to sign himself as a gamer, and building the agency helped him learn the resources that aspiring esports gamers lacked. Williams combined the features esports gamers wanted into Player Epic Inc., an Orlando based onilne resource hub he founded this year that will create high tech jobs.

Player Epic also will make it easier for esports gamers to launch and grow their careers, Williams, CEO of the company, told Orlando Business Journal.

“After talking to the local gamers who want to do this for a career and take it seriously, it’s not really a clear cut path like traditional sports…”
